Chinawind yachts are a boat building company, building and designing their own blue water 38 foot schooners, we are based at a small workshop in Lincolnshire our boats are built of plywood using epoxy resin over which further layers of epoxy soaked cloth are laid

Our craft are one off designs with a view to go long distances in comfort and safety

We chose MAS epoxy as our choice of epoxy for a number of reasons

1. No blush performance means less time wasted between lay ups and coats no wash down needed.
2. The fact that the formula for Mas did not cause skin irritation when I used it unlike other well known products which caused me to be sencertive to there use (itchy Skin and rash)
3. Mas has a good performance in cold conditions our workshop is mostly unheated
4. We found the system to be very workshop friendly, 2-1 mixes each hardener is bendable with each other both resins can be mixed together this means less waste.

Why did we decide to distribute MAS?

Whilst we were building we found that we could not get MAS from our regular supplier they offered us other makes that we still believe were and are not as good as MAS and as we were in the middle of completing a boat we wanted the build quality to remain constant so we imported MAS direct from the USA

Those people who have used MAS find they like it so people started to ask who had it in the UK and before long we had numerous professional and amateur builders and repairers arriving at our door with odd containers begging for some of our MAS by supplying these people the demand has grown and we found ourselves supplying people all over the UK and Europe

We pride ourselves on not being salesman, in that you actually purchase the epoxy from someone who has used it and knows what you are trying to do, we believe that advice should be given freely and will do so to the best of our knowledge and because we have used so many other sorts of epoxy will give advice on epoxy generally not just on MAS.
